Field trip to Victorian Parliament, Victorian Department of Health and Bupa

In July 2026, 10 theMediaPod members got to travel to Victorian Parliament, the Department of Health and Bupa to meet Deakin alumni in senior leadership positions.

This feedback from one of the participants summed up the feelings of most participants:

I found the parliament session (really) enjoyable because I recognised and loved chatting with Georgie Purcell, who gave great insight into working in male-dominated fields. I also gained the most from listening to the president of the press gallery and learnt how interesting political journalism is. I also love history so walking through Parliament building was so fun.
