For more than 20 years, Ross Monaghan's theMediaPod program has been connecting students with their future by bringing them together with other great students, alumni, and employers.

The program

theMediaPod program is participant-driven and combines online and face-to-face activities to help current participants network, build skills, and gain the hands-on experience they need to launch their careers.

During the Covid pandemic, theMediaPod switch to StudentCommsChat as we broadened our activities to encompass any communication students in the region. A highlight of the program was chatting with Australia's Minister for Communications, The Hon Paul Fletcher. You'll find more details here

Platform Magazine is an online, student-run publication focused on the discussion and advancement of the public relations industry.  It is produced by students at The University of Alabama and sponsored by The Plank Center for Public Relations.

Deakin University's Work Integrated Learning (WIL) - for Arts & Education students. 

Work Integrated Learning is the term used for educational approaches that connect and integrate academic learning with authentic workplace experience. The goal is for each to enrich the other. For professional communication students, the WIL team have fantastic resource to help you understand where an internship fits within your degree, the process to follow, and even some tips of funding your internship. They even have some vacant opportunities - however finding your own is usually the best option.
